EyeLeash: A Blog Novel

EyeLeash: A Blog Novel Review

Jade Ashton is a sassy virgin. In her private blog, she vents about "fitting in" a world where superficiality reigns supreme.

Suddenly all logic flies out the window when she meets Novan: the former geek, who's morphed into a delicious songwriter-musician. They decide to be "friends-with-benefits." But it's Novan, with his poems and riddling passages on his own blog--which *isn't private*--that backs out.

EyeLeash captures self-discovery in the 2000s, and showcases the colorful, intricate drama in two youths' relentless search for themselves--and what's really in their hearts.

GENRE: New Media / Popular Culture / Teenage Memoir / Coming of Age / Dating & Sex

CrotchMail: The Reckoning: A Boy and his Blog

CrotchMail: The Reckoning: A Boy and his Blog Review

CrotchMail is the hilarious and Non-Award Winning Blog of Adam Aragon. It runs the gauntlet from dirty, to weird, to geeky and back to offensive and off-color. Completely insane and unapologetically racy, this is a collection of essays and articles from the Very Best of CrotchMail and it's particular brand of Humor. Here's a Review from the Sonoma County Bohemian: 'CrotchMail: The Reckoning' is exactly what it sounds like: the off-beat, mildly offensive, yet amusing recollections of Adam A. Aragon's blog in print form. Part Top 10 lists, part LSD-inspired haiku and part baloney, this easy read is full of imagination, off-the-wall humor and a dash of geekiness. Reminiscent of a zine, the author pens some remarkable short stories, such as "The Sandwich of the Future," which describes his short acquaintance with a sandwich that speaks to the consumer to customize its taste. Among all the nonsense we also find honest words of wisdom, such as "The best pick up line is 'Hello, my name is ______'". These are the misadventures of a 28-year-old man who isn't quite ready to live life dully.—A.S. (via http://www.bohemian.com/bohemian/04.06.11/arts-1114.html )

Blog: Webster's Timeline History, 1725 - 2007

Blog: Webster's Timeline History, 1725 - 2007 Review

Webster's bibliographic and event-based timelines are comprehensive in scope, covering virtually all topics, geographic locations and people. They do so from a linguistic point of view, and in the case of this book, the focus is on "Blog," including when used in literature (e.g. all authors that might have Blog in their name). As such, this book represents the largest compilation of timeline events associated with Blog when it is used in proper noun form. Webster's timelines cover bibliographic citations, patented inventions, as well as non-conventional and alternative meanings which capture ambiguities in usage. These furthermore cover all parts of speech (possessive, institutional usage, geographic usage) and contexts, including pop culture, the arts, social sciences (linguistics, history, geography, economics, sociology, political science), business, computer science, literature, law, medicine, psychology, mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology and other physical sciences. This "data dump" results in a comprehensive set of entries for a bibliographic and/or event-based timeline on the proper name Blog, since editorial decisions to include or exclude events is purely a linguistic process. The resulting entries are used under license or with permission, used under "fair use" conditions, used in agreement with the original authors, or are in the public domain.

Blogs From the Liberal Standpoint: 2004-2005

Blogs From the Liberal Standpoint: 2004-2005 Review

Blogs From The Liberal Standpoint: 2004-2005 is the first blog book to seriously address the major political and social issues of our time in a thorough, fascinating, and entertaining way. Topics covered include the war in Iraq, abuses of presidential, administrative, military and media power. There are several blog books currently on the market, but this is the first one to directly and comprehensively cover the issues that matter the most, including early coverage of topics before they gained treatment in the popular press--the abuse of warrantless electronic surveillance; the Larry Summers/Harvard scandal; and the occurrence of plagiarism scandals among both trade and academic writers, including Harvard's Ogletree/Tribe plagiarism situation.

The 2011-2016 World Outlook for Blogs

The 2011-2016 World Outlook for Blogs Review

This econometric study covers the world outlook for blogs across more than 200 countries. For each year reported, estimates are given for the latent demand, or potential industry earnings (P.I.E.), for the country in question (in millions of U.S. dollars), the percent share the country is of the region and of the globe. These comparative benchmarks allow the reader to quickly gauge a country vis-a-vis others. Using econometric models which project fundamental economic dynamics within each country and across countries, latent demand estimates are created. This report does not discuss the specific players in the market serving the latent demand, nor specific details at the product level. The study also does not consider short-term cyclicalities that might affect realized sales. The study, therefore, is strategic in nature, taking an aggregate and long-run view, irrespective of the players or products involved.

This study does not report actual sales data (which are simply unavailable, in a comparable or consistent manner in virtually all of the 230 countries of the world). This study gives, however, my estimates for the worldwide latent demand, or the P.I.E. for blogs. It also shows how the P.I.E. is divided across the world's regional and national markets. For each country, I also show my estimates of how the P.I.E. grows over time (positive or negative growth). In order to make these estimates, a multi-stage methodology was employed that is often taught in courses on international strategic planning at graduate schools of business.
